Hi

Does anyone know where I can find a PSR style for the song "Lemon Tree" by fool`s garden ?

I tried searching for styles online but could not find a nice swing style that has the Pizzicato intro.

My keyboard(PSR S950) has some good swing styles that can be used for this song but I feel the one which is close to the original song would be great.

I have uploaded some sounds from the S950 on my soundcloud channel My sound cloud Although most of these are first takes, they do show some of the sounds and styles on this keyboard for those interested. Thanks

Jez

Personally, I'd recommend a rumba style ... haven't heard the original in quite a while, but that song always says "latin/island" to me.

I can't believe this song is known outside of Germany... Fool's Garden was a German band from Stuttgart who sang it in the 90s. For the verse maybe you should stop the style and manually play pizzicato strings left hand.

Thanks Dave and Donny. Rumba, Calypso..never thought of trying these style genres out for this one. Definitely, it can give a new feel to the song. One of the best part of arranger keyboard playing is how quickly one could cover the same song in different genres smile

On some more web surfing, I came across these styles in a PSR yahoo group => Lemon Tree psr style

The style files are very much usable but just need some minor adjustments to make it sound better.

Regards,
Jez

Ok. This is another song with the same name which I was looking at

Donny, I am aware of the older song you posted too...

Kind of fun to play the song "Lemon Tree" by Fools Garden using rumba and calypso style genres. Will post it sometime in the future.

This song was a hit in the mid 90`s and I still like this song.

Thanks guys !!

Best Regards,
Jez

Yes, when I read 'Calypso' I thought there must be a confusion with a different 'Lemon Tree' than Fool's Garden's one...

I assumed it was the Trini Lopez song also. Some of us old people haven't heard the new one. Thanks for bringing us more up to date.
